AIPC Assessment Method

A credential should never claim more than the evidence demonstrates.

AIPC first defines what a credential is intended to mean, then designs the evidence needed to support that claim and applies documented rules to make the decision.

Proportionate evidence

Different claims require different methods.

A knowledge examination can support a Foundation credential. A claim about performance, leadership or experience requires additional evidence—not merely a harder examination.

Advanced selected-response items, multiple response and information interpretation.

Scenarios, cases, data, diagrams and documentary evidence.

Professional judgment

Prioritization, action selection and evaluation of alternatives under defined conditions.

When the claim requires it: simulations or work products scored against observable criteria.

Independence

Preparation and certification are separate functions.

AIPC does not require its own courses, does not credential attendance and does not allow a commercial relationship to alter requirements or an individual decision. Preparation may be independent or provided by an employer, university or third party.

ISO/IEC 17024

A development reference—not a claimed accreditation.

AIPC is developing its certification management practices with reference to ISO/IEC 17024:2026 and established professional assessment principles. AIPC is not currently accredited under ISO/IEC 17024.
